Whoops- it's TITEWAD. As the title indicates, I boneheaded a Titegroup purchase and ended up with Titewad. Weelll, as it turns out, there is no pistol data available from Hogdon for this powder, so I will be investigating this blind. Now, before I use this as expensive fertilizer or turn a fine gun into parts, it behooves me to do some research.

Clays is probably the best fast-burning target powder currently on the market. It burns very cleanly, meters perfectly, and is amazingly consistent from batch to batch. Titewad, however, is almost as good and is the best value in a powder for light target loads. I have used many kegs of it without problems.

You could load just about anything you want using only Titewad and Federal and Win primers. Use the Feds in the lighter loads and the Wins in the heavier loads.

That's the reason Hodgdon does not list any loads with that primer and powder going 1200 fps. Your option is to load some up with, say, 17.5 gr and the SP12, and send them in for testing and see what you get.OR 21.5 grs. WSL, 1400 FPS, 9,300 PSI. It is an excellent 7/8 ounce and 1 ounce powder. For 1-1/8 ounce loads the pressures get a little high, but it still works well for 1145 fps loads.
