62nalide. I pushed on up to 600-817rwhp for a year (6L80E) on a heavy truck, some make 650rwhp and hold for a lot time. The 6L80E has been out for years and its all in the tuning. I've heard of people break them at 500hp or so but as long as you have a bigger trans cooler and watch your temps it'll last a long time.

If you have a T5 use it, if not then get something with a higher torque rating. My T5 has lasted very reliably behind about 480 ftlb flywheel torque (412 at wheels) with much full throttle use at the strip.
