As was mentioned above, there's rarely a reason to totally disassemble an auto-5. It's easy to take the stock off to get to the return spring, and trigger assembly out, and barrel off, and recoil spring assembly. He said that to properly convert a 2 9/16" gun to 2 3/4" is more expensive than most of them are worth. If you had a high grade 2 9/16" gun, the conversion would wreck the value.
